Through funding from the NIU Great Journeys Strategic Plan the Digital Convergence Lab was able to purchase hardware and software to provide the NIU community with educational experiences focused on new media and technology.
Our goal is to bring members from the surrounding community to the Digital Convergence Lab, the NIU Libraries, and the NIU campus by hosting community workshops, special interest camps, intellectual digitization products, research and development opportunities to "strengthen and extend NIU’s regional impact".
The DCL is proud to participate in STEMfest each October at the NIU Convocation Center.
NIU faculty and staff are invited to contribute their enthusiasm and expertise by partnering with the Digital Convergence Lab as a faculty coach or by participating in shared research. Contact Aline Click or Drew Vandecreek to learn more about how you can get involved.
