Expertise & Interests
Michael is an avid Apple and Mac user and is a former Mac Genius. Michael also has an extensive background in IT supporting Windows. Michael is passionate about helping others with technology – both hardware and software – and is always up for a challenge. While not turning a screwdriver inside a computer, Michael enjoys classical music from all time periods and is a substitute member of the Rockford Symphony. Outside of technology, music and learning Michael is an avid race fan, and has even ridden around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway at 195 MPH in a two-seater IndyCar.
Michael moved to DeKalb with his wife Kate, an NIU music professor, in 2011 from Louisville KY. They have a 1 year old son, named Bennett, and another on the way. Michael and Kate enjoy good food and drink while hosting gatherings of friends and family.
